Café

How can I make a booking?

We only take reservations for Afternoon Teas and otherwise run on a walk-in basis only. However, we do accept bookings for private hire of our rooms. For more information please send an email to info@plushcafe.co.uk with your enquiry and we will do our best to accommodate.

Can I choose which room I sit in?

Let us know your preferred room when you arrive! At certain times we can be very busy so there may not be a table available in the room you'd like to sit in, but why not try one of our other gorgeous rooms instead. Afternoon Tea bookings get room priority, however, tables and rooms are assigned on a first booked, first assigned basis - but don't worry! If there is no availability in your first room of choice, we will seat you in one of our other rooms.

What's the maximum time I can stay at my table?

Whilst we have a 90 minute table turnaround time, if the café is not particularly busy you are welcome to extend your stay a bit longer.

Are you dog-friendly?

Our Neon Room is dog-friendly. We are big dog lovers! We have Wooficcinos on our menu and will happily give your pup some water. We'll probably ask for a photo for social media too! Please keep your doggos off the furniture though and respect our other guests (the furry and non-furry ones!). All guests that are loud and/or misbehaving will be asked to leave, regardless of species or age.

Is your menu suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes! We have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on our menu. Please note that we prepare some menu items in a non-vegetarian/vegan way as standard so you may have to specifically request the vegetarian or vegan version. Our menu will identify when you will need to do this. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please let one of our team know when you arrive and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Do you serve your drinks with milk alternatives?

We have oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk, soy milk, full fat and semi-skinned milk available in the cafe. Let us know your preference when you order.

Do you have gluten-free options?

We do! Many of our gluten-free products (like cake or bread) are produced off-site by certified suppliers, however, we do bake some on-site, and all end meals are prepared in a kitchen where gluten-containing products are also prepared. We have stringent cross-contamination prevention measures in operation, and the chance of cross-contamination is slim, but, as with all allergies and intolerances, there is always a small chance that it could occur so please bear this in mind. 

Do you cater for other allergies?

If you have an allergy please communicate this to a team member before you place your order. The team will be able to advise as to whether we will be able to cater to your requirements or not. As above, please note that all meals are prepared in the same kitchen. While we have stringent cross-contamination prevention measures in operation there is always a small chance that cross-contamination could occur.

Are you accessible/wheelchair-friendly?

While our Grade II listed, early-17th century building is beautifully quirky and wonky, it's unfortunately not the most accessible. We span 4 floors with some pretty steep stairs linking each. Our retail store and Neon Room are on the ground floor of the building. The rooms are relatively small but we can move tables in the Neon Room if you require a bit more space. We have toilets on the top floor of the building and the ground floor(ish) - you will need to climb 3 steps to access this toilet. We will always do our best to accommodate you! What payment methods do you accept?

In-store we accept the following credit and debit cards: Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Delta, Visa Electron and Amex.

Online we accept the following payment methods: Paypal, Visa and Mastercard.

What can I use your e-gift voucher for?

Gift vouchers can be redeemed in the cafe, as well as in our store - this includes online orders.

How do I redeem an e-gift voucher, discount or special offer?

In-store: Just show your voucher or discount code to one of our team and they'll do the rest! Please ensure you show them the code before you order in the cafe.

Online: Enter the code into the provided fields in 'Your Shopping Cart'.
